Visit of Tegal Regency BPS to Schools in Slawi for Literacy Development

Tegal, September 10, 2024 - As part of the Literacy Development program BPS GO TO School, Expert Statistician Diana Dwi Susanti and Head of Tegal Regency BPS, Bambang Wahyu Ponco Aji, visited 3 Senior High Schools (SMA) in Slawi. The three schools visited were SMAN 1, SMAN 2, and SMAN 3 in Slawi.

This visit not only serves as a follow-up to the Literacy Development program BPS GO TO School, but also to announce that Tegal Regency BPS will be organizing an essay writing competition for SMA students. A total of 10 finalists will be selected, and from them, 3 winners will be announced at the peak of the 2024 National Statistics Day celebration in Tegal Regency.

During the visit, Diana Dwi Susanti and Bambang Wahyu Ponco Aji provided information to the students about this essay writing competition, as well as encouragement and support for the students to actively participate and showcase their writing abilities.

This essay writing competition is expected to be a platform to discover the writing talents of SMA students in Slawi, as well as to increase their interest in literacy and statistics. The winners of this competition will be announced at the peak event of the National Statistics Day celebration, providing recognition and motivation for the students to enhance their writing skills and appreciation for statistics.
