BPS TEGAL REGENCY GOES TO SMAN 3 SLAWI: "ACHIEVE DREAMS, MAKE ACHIEVEMENTS COME TRUE"

Tegal, November 14 – BPS Tegal Regency again carried out the Go to School statistical literacy development activity which was held at SMAN 3 Slawi. This visit involved Static Young Expert Ika Efrilia, SE, MM as the Head of the Go to School Statistics Team, together with Masykuri, S.ST, M.Si and Sodikin, S.ST. Not to forget, several graduates of the STIS Statistics Polytechnic in 2024 who are carrying out On Job Training at BPS Tegal Regency were also involved in this visit, namely Arum Eka Fitriyani, Atina Asyfa Amania, Diska Agustinningtyas, Laeli Amelia, Juan Pradana Putra, and Muhammad Reza Rahman to share information about the STIS Polytechnic.

In accordance with the theme of Go to School, namely "Achieve Dreams, Realize Achievements", this visit targeted grade 12, especially 12.1, 12.2, and 12.3 considering that they are preparing to go to the world of lectures. Through this visit, it is hoped that grade 12 students can get an overview of study opportunities at the STIS Police Station as well as various tips in preparing themselves for the STIS Police Station entrance selection in the future. The material opened by highlighting the importance of the role of statistics in this century, which is often referred to as the "data age". Then, it was continued with the introduction of the STIS Polstat, including study programs, advantages, selection processes, and future career prospects. 

The atmosphere became even more interesting with the holding of ice-breaking games which succeeded in diluting the atmosphere while adding focus and enthusiasm to the students. In addition, the team also explained several practice questions that are commonly encountered in the STIS Polstat entrance selection. The students looked very enthusiastic, marked by their courage to answer questions actively. Not only that, this moment is also an opportunity for students to hone their critical and analytical thinking skills. Near the end of the session, an interactive quiz was held which was presented using the digital platform Kahoot.it. With high enthusiasm, students compete to answer questions correctly and quickly in order to win attractive prizes that have been prepared by the team. Then, this activity continued with filling in feedback and ended with a group photo session.

The students showed a positive response throughout the activity. Through this visit, BPS Tegal Regency hopes to provide additional provisions in the form of information and inspiration to grade 12 students in making educational and career choices in the future. The synergy between BPS Tegal Regency and SMAN 3 Slawi is expected to be able to foster students' interest in the world of statistics and open up opportunities to continue their studies at official schools, especially Polstat STIS.
