Tegal Regency BPS Attends Central Java BPS Tourism Data Reconciliation Meeting in March 2025

Tegal, March 24, 2025 – The Central Java Provincial Statistics Office (BPS) held a Tourism Data Coordination and Evaluation Meeting (Rekonda) in March 2025 online on Monday (March 24th). The event was attended by representatives of BPS from 35 regencies/cities throughout Central Java, including Tegal Regency. In this agenda, Martin Muktiasih, a representative from Tegal Regency BPS, participated in the discussion regarding the monitoring and evaluation of tourism survey activities conducted in his region. Several surveys discussed include monthly and annual hotel surveys, tourism phenomena, tourist attraction object surveys (V-ODTW), and other tourism indicators. This activity began at 10:00 AM and aims to improve the accuracy and quality of tourism data in Central Java. Through these surveys, BPS strives to provide a more comprehensive picture of the development of the tourism sector, both in terms of the number of tourist visits, hotel occupancy rates, and current tourism trends. "Accurate data is crucial for formulating the right policies in developing the tourism sector in the region," said one of the speakers at the event. With regular evaluations like this Rekonda, it is hoped that the data obtained will be more valid and beneficial for the local government, businesses, and the community in efforts to develop a more sustainable tourism sector in Central Java.
