Socialization of the 2026 Economic Census at the MBG Forum: SPPG and Suppliers Invited to Contribute Through Honest Data

November 11, 2025 | BPS Activities

Slawi, November 11, 2025 — The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Tegal Regency held a socialization activity for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) in the MBG Forum, which was attended by business actors from SPPG and SPPG suppliers. This activity aims to introduce SE2026 while inviting all participants to play an active role in making its implementation a success. In the forum, Diana Dwisusanti, a Senior Expert at BPS, conveyed the importance of SE2026 as the foundation of national economic data. She emphasized that the success of the census depends heavily on the honesty and openness of information from business actors. "We are not looking for perfect numbers, we are looking for real stories. Data as it is is the main strength in formulating targeted economic policies," said Diana in the presentation session. SE2026 will be held in mid-2026, and will cover all business units in Indonesia, including the gas, fuel, and logistics trade sectors, which are an important part of the SPPG ecosystem. Through this socialization, BPS hopes that forum participants can become strategic partners in disseminating information and encouraging active participation in their respective business environments. The activity took place with great enthusiasm, marked by a warm discussion about data collection challenges and a joint commitment to support SE2026.(MArt)
