💡 *Cross-Regional Coordination* On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the Head of the Tegal Regency BPS, Bambang Wahyu Ponco Aji, made a strategic visit together with the Head of the Tegal City BPS, Eman Sulaeman, to the Alfamart branch office located in Penusupan Village, Tegal Regency. This joint visit aims to align perceptions and strengthen inter-regional cooperation in anticipation of the national agenda. The presence of the two BPS leaders demonstrates the importance of the modern retail sector in contributing comprehensive economic data in the Tegal Raya region.
🏙️ *Corporate Reception and Support* The BPS delegation was warmly welcomed by the HRD of the Alfamart Branch, Nurwan, who represented the company's management in the meeting. In the friendly discussion, Alfamart expressed its readiness to fully support the government's program, particularly regarding the provision of the necessary data. This collaboration is considered very crucial given that Alfamart has an extensive network that reaches down to the village level, so the validity of the data from the management will greatly assist the efficiency of field officers' work in the future.
📊 *Focus on the 2026 Economic Census* The main agenda of this meeting is the discussion regarding the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026). The BPS requested special support from Alfamart's management to assist in the data collection process for all outlets or stores under the supervision of that branch. This Economic Census aims to map the economic structure in detail, including the number of businesses, business scale, and labor absorption in the retail sector. With the support of Alfamart, BPS hopes to minimize the challenges of mapping the widely dispersed network of outlets thru transparent access to administrative data.
📝 *Data Collection of Fostered Outlets* Bambang Wahyu Ponco Aji explained that the data collection not only targets the main outlets but also the fostered stores that are part of the Alfamart business ecosystem in the Tegal Regency and City area. The accuracy of data regarding these business units is very important as a basis for economic policy-making by both the central and regional governments. The BPS hopes that Alfamart can give internal instructions to each store manager to be cooperative when the census officers come to conduct the enumeration in the future.
🚀 *Hope for the Local Economy* The meeting in Penusupan Village concluded with a joint commitment to successfully conduct the 2026 Economic Census for a better economic future for Tegal. With the creation of a single and accurate economic database, the government can design more targeted business empowerment programs. The collaboration between government agencies such as BPS and the private sector such as Alfamart is expected to serve as a solid example of synergy in supporting the development of high-quality national data.
