Meticulous Supervision Illuminates 2023 Agricultural Census Activities

October 13, 2023 | BPS Activities

From 11 to 13 October 2023, Mr. Danisworo, S.Si, M.Si, an Associate Expert Statistician, and Mr. Dody Saputro, SST, M.Si, a Junior Statistician, both from BPS Central Java Province, conducted a meaningful supervision and evaluation of agricultural statistics and ST2023 activities at BPS Tegal Regency. The aim was to improve coordination in order to ensure the smooth running of various crucial aspects in agricultural statistical activities and the 2023 Agricultural Census to ensure quality data.

The discussion participants were 15 officers of ASF and Crop Cropping activities, production statistics team and ST2023 Anomaly groundcheck officers.

1. Monitoring of the Crop-Cutting Survey

The discussion began with a close look at and monitoring of the activities of the ASF Survey for Rice and Maize and the Crop Cropping Survey for Food Crops. At this stage, all officers participating in the ASF and ubinan surveys must carry out in accordance with the predetermined SOPs, the PMS supervisory function must still be carried out, coordination between PCs and PMS must run well and smoothly. Information related to food crop commodities grown by farmers is an important element in providing justification for field conditions that support the results of the ubinan.

By carrying out ASF and Cropping in accordance with the SOP and predetermined schedule, it is expected that the quality of data on rice and secondary crop production will be better and can be utilized in regional agricultural planning.

This supervision reflects BPS Central Java Province's commitment to maintaining the quality of agricultural census data and ensuring that the data is useful in agricultural planning, decision-making, and the development of the agricultural sector in Tegal Regency. This action proves a serious concern for the sustainability and growth of the agricultural sector in this region. (Wind)
