A sentence from Dadang Hardiwan, Head of BPS Central Java Province, in the opening of the Workshop on Evaluation of Data Processing Results of the 2023 Agricultural Census of Central Java Province held in Magelang on November 14-15, 2023. This workshop from Tegal Regency was attended by the Head of BPS Tegal Regency, Bambang Wahyu Ponco Aji, Associate Expert Statistician Diana Dwi Susanti, Junior Expert Statistician Sodikin, and from the Food Security and Agriculture Office Arif Nuryanto, Fisheries and Marine Office Trisnani Kanti Lestari.
The workshop was held for a joint discussion to explore agricultural phenomena over the past 10 years. The phenomenon is important to complement the results of the 2023 Agricultural Census data collection which will be held in June-July 2023.
At the national level, the important role of agriculture in Central Java is very reliable. The contribution of the agricultural economy in Central Java reaches 14%, which means that when Central Java agriculture shifts, it will affect national food security, said Kadarmanto, Director of Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Statistics at the Central Statistics Agency. Kadarmanto also said that the release of ST2023 provisional figures will be held on December 4, 2023. Data from the Agricultural Census can be accessed on the bps web in each region.
This workshop also organized a talk show with speakers Head of the Livestock and Animal Health Service Office of Central Java Province Ir. Agus Wariyanto, S.IP, MM who explained about Government Planning & Policy Making in the Livestock Sector in Central Java and Millennial Farmers from Magelang District who inspired with his presentation Farming with Data. This talk show was also moderated by TV-Ku Presenter Mira Azzahra. Everyone hopes that the results of the 2023 Agricultural Census will have a positive impact on agricultural policy in Indonesia.(dds)
