Desa Cantik Program in Kabupaten Tegal: Empowering Villages through Data and Applications

The Desa Cantik program, initiated by the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) in Kabupaten Tegal, aims to enhance the quality of village data and empower local communities through data utilization. Recently, BPS Kabupaten Tegal held a meeting with Diskominfo Kabupaten Tegal, Universitas Bhamada Slawi, and the Disnaker Kabupaten Tegal to discuss the development of an application specifically for Desa Cantik.

This application will include information on village potential, local economy, and utilize data from Regsosek. Additionally, the application will feature profiles of job seekers within the village. By providing accurate data, the application aims to support better decision-making for the community.

In 2024, three villages have been designated as targets for the Desa Cantik program in Kabupaten Tegal:

1. Desa Sidapurna in Kecamatan Dukuhturi
2. Desa Ujungrusi in Kecamatan Adiwerna
3. Desa Pagerwangi in Kecamatan Balapulang

These three Desa Cantik villages will receive guidance from BPS and Kominfo throughout 2024. The schedule for Desa Cantik development is as follows:

• June 2024: Introduction of statistical agents and literacy training.
• June and July 2024: Identification of village needs and program planning.
• August 2024: Community consultation forums.
• September 2024: Evaluation of Desa Cantik activities.
