Coordination of BPS Tegal Regency with Kominfo Regarding Statistics-Aware Villages (Desa Cantik)

On Friday, February 14, 2025, the Head of BPS Tegal Regency, Bambang Wahyu Ponco Aji, along with Senior Statistician Diana Dwi Susanti, Junior Statistician Heny Khristianawati, and First Statistician Uziroh, visited the Communication and Information Office (Kominfo) of Tegal Regency. This visit aimed to coordinate regarding the Statistics-Aware Village (Desa Cantik) 2025 program. The Head of Kominfo, Nurhayati, welcomed this activity and expressed her hope that each sub-district in Tegal Regency would have one representative Statistics-Aware Village. The meeting also resulted in an agreement to launch the Statistics-Aware Village program directly by the newly inaugurated regent, as a form of support for this program. During the meeting, the importance of information integration was also discussed, where the Sate Tegal website is expected to have a link to the BPS Tegal Regency website related to basic statistical data. This aims to make it easier for the public to access accurate and relevant statistical information. Coordination between BPS Tegal Regency and the Kominfo Tegal Regency is expected to strengthen efforts to raise public awareness of the importance of statistics and data in village development. With the support of the local government, it is hoped that the Statistics-Aware Village program can run smoothly and benefit the people of Tegal Regency. (uonk)
