Tegal Regency, July 12, 2024 – The Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Tegal Regency held a vibrant and community-oriented event called “Jumat Wareg” (Waras Bergas dan Guyub) on Friday. This day was marked by enthusiasm, collaboration, and a sense of purpose among the participants.
The morning began with a spirited assembly, where BPS staff gathered to kick off the day’s activities. The iconic “Mars Statistik” (Statistics March) echoed through the air as everyone sang along, reinforcing the importance of data and statistical work. The BPS Tegal Regency motto, “Berkah, Siap Berubah, Semangat Berkarya, Bersama Kita Hebat” (Blessings, Ready to Change, Spirited to Work, Together We Are Great), resonated with the crowd.
The community service segment took place in the front yard, where BPS employees engaged in various tasks. Weeding, planting pots for greenery, and cleaning channels were among the activities aimed at beautifying the surroundings and fostering a sense of togetherness.
As the sun reached its zenith, everyone gathered for a communal meal, known as “medang.” Sharing food and stories, colleagues strengthened their bonds and celebrated their collective efforts.
The day concluded with a special “Jumat Mengaji” (Friday Quranic study) session. BPS Tegal Regency invited an external ustad (religious scholar) to lead the recitation and provide spiritual guidance.
“Jumat Wareg” exemplifies the spirit of unity, hard work, and community engagement that defines BPS Tegal Regency. By coming together, we create a positive impact and contribute to the development of our region.
