KKD to Dharma Wanita DPUPR Tegal Regency Socialization of the 2026 Economic Census

Slawi, Wednesday, May 20, 2026 – The Communication, Coordination, and Diplomacy Team (KKD) of the Tegal Regency BPS conducted a collaborative visit to the Dharma Wanita office of the Tegal Regency DPUPR. This activity aims to socialize the importance of the 2026 Economic Census, which will be conducted soon. In addition, this visit is also a strategic effort to synergize between government agencies in achieving the successful data collection for the 2026 Economic Census.

Masykuri, as a member of the KKD BPS Tegal Regency team, immediately led the socialization meeting with the main agenda regarding the 2026 Economic Census. In his presentation, Masykuri explained that the 2026 Economic Census is the largest economic data recording activity in Indonesia. The data from the census is vital for use as a reference in planning national and regional economic development. He invites all parties to jointly support the smooth implementation of the program.

One of the important points in this socialization is the appeal to the community. The KKD team urges that if there are census officers coming to residents' homes, residents are expected to receive them with a positive and friendly attitude. Respondents are asked to answer the questions posed based on reality or as it is, without hesitation. This is done because the honesty of the responses greatly determines the quality and accuracy of the data produced from the 2026 Economic Census.

In addition to focusing on the general public, the KKD team also highlights the importance of MSME actors in Tegal Regency to participate. UMKM are the backbone of the economy of Tegal Regency, with thousands of business units spread across all sub-districts. The active participation of MSME actors in this census will produce an accurate map of local economic competitiveness. With accurate data, local governments can formulate more targeted policies to empower and develop the potential of local MSMEs.

The Chairwoman of Dharma Wanita DPUPR Tegal Regency, who attended the meeting, expressed her full support for the 2026 Economic Census. The Dharma Wanita ladies stated that they would help disseminate census information to their respective extended family networks. Support from institutions like Dharma Wanita is expected to bridge communication between government agencies and the community at the deepest levels.
