June 15, 2026 | BPS Activities

Slawi, Friday, June 12, 2026 – Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Tegal Regency officially held the Roll Call Ceremony for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) at the Back Field of the Tegal Regency Regional Secretariat (Setda), on Friday morning (12/06/2026). This event marked the official commencement of the 2026 Economic Census data collection in the Tegal Regency area. The ceremony was conducted solemnly and attended by census officers, local government officials, and members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Tegal Regency.

On this occasion, the Assistant for General Administration (Assistant III) of the Tegal Regency Secretariat, Muhammad Budi Eko Kurniawan, read an official message from the Regent of Tegal, Ischak Maulana Rohman. In his address, the Regent emphasized that the Economic Census is a strategic national activity that plays a crucial role in providing accurate and reliable economic data as a foundation for regional and national development policies. He also called on all members of the public to support the census and provide accurate information to the census officers.

The Head of BPS Tegal Regency, Bambang Wahyu Ponco Aji, stated in his report that all preparations for the implementation of SE2026 had been thoroughly completed. A total of 1,320 census officers have been trained and are ready to be deployed to the field to collect data on various types of businesses across Tegal Regency. The data collection will cover all non-agricultural business sectors, ranging from small grocery stalls, home-based batik industries, micro and small enterprises, to large-scale companies.

Furthermore, Bambang explained that the Economic Census is a national agenda conducted once every ten years. The results of this census will serve as a primary data source to describe the overall condition and development of the community’s economy. The data obtained is expected to provide a comprehensive picture of regional economic potential, support investment, and serve as a basis for more targeted development planning.

The SE2026 Roll Call Ceremony was also attended by members of the Forkopimda of Tegal Regency, the Head of BPS Tegal Regency, heads of regional agencies, and representatives of census officers from various subdistricts. Through this ceremony, all officers are expected to be fully prepared to carry out their data collection duties professionally, with integrity, and with a strong commitment to data quality. With the support of all stakeholders, the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census in Tegal Regency is expected to run smoothly and produce high-quality data to support regional development progress.
