THE IMPRESSION OF BEING A FLAG WAER ON HERO'S DAY

Heroes' Day is a momentum for the Indonesian people to commemorate the struggle of heroes in Indonesian independence. On this auspicious day, BPS Tegal Regency gives STIS graduates the opportunity to become flag-raising officers in the 2021 Heroes Day Flag Ceremony.

This became an interesting experience for one of the flag hoisting officers, “Reminds me of 10 years ago, where I was a flag hoist at a Monday ceremony in an elementary school environment”, said Fatih. "Perhaps, it was the last experience as a flag-raising officer, where at the junior high school to university level, he was no longer a flag-raising officer," he continued.

Feeling happy and proud to be able to do this task well on Heroes' Day 2021. The challenge of being a flag raiser is team cohesiveness and punctuality. The flag-raising team is identical with the upright steps that must be compact and firm. In addition, in the process of raising the flag, one must adjust the rhythm of the anthem Indonesia Raya so that there is timeliness between the song and the raising of the flag. We were able to overcome these challenges even though the preparation process was quite short.

As an STIS graduate who will later serve at BPS, this experience is very valuable because it can contribute to the BPS office environment. This is a provision to prepare themselves to become BPS employees in the placement office later. (Fatih/STIS)
