The SP2020 long form activity was originally planned to be carried out in 2021. However, with the adjustment of governance during the Covid-19 pandemic, the SP2020 long form data collection was postponed to 2022. For the Central Java region, including Tegal Regency, LF SP2020 data collection uses the CAPI mode (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) with the ICS (Integrated Collection System) application. Therefore, prospective officers are required to have and be able to use gadgets (devices) with the Android operating system with the specified minimum specifications.
For the Tegal Regency area, the implementation of the LF SP2020 includes 1,100 Census Blocks (BS) selected as a sample spread over 18 sub-districts from all CBs in this region as many as 5,100 CBs. In carrying out this activity, the Tegal Regency BPS involved a number of 329 officers consisting of 220 Field Data Collection Officers (PPL); 74 Team Coordinator (Kortim); 26 District Census Coordinator (Koseka); and 9 Supervisors.
Before carrying out their duties, all prospective census or survey officers must participate in preparatory activities in the form of officer training. LF SP2020 officer training activities were held at 3 (three) Training Centers (TC), namely TC Hotel Grand Dian Slawi, TC Hotel Permata Inn Slawi and TC Hotel Primebiz Tegal. This activity was carried out in 2 (two) waves, namely the first wave held on 7-11 May 2022 and the second wave on 11-14 May 2022.
For 3 (three) effective days, prospective officers are provided with materials by teachers (regional instructors/Inda) consisting of Inda Instruments and Inda IT. Inda Instrument provides explanations related to the LF SP2020 technical guidelines, concepts and definitions as well as the practice of filling out documents or role playing interviews with respondents. Meanwhile, Inda IT provides guidance and explanations regarding the installation and use of the ICS application used during the LF SP2020 data collection.
To evaluate the level of absorption and understanding of material by prospective officers, the organizers carry out tests or deepening of material both in theory and practice. After participating in the training, it is hoped that all officers will be ready to carry out their duties with the correct understanding of the concept.
This LF SP2020 activity is carried out in 2 (two) stages, namely the household updating stage which is carried out on 17 – 31 May 2022 and the household data collection stage on 1 – 30 June 2022. The expected output from the LF SP2020 data collection is the availability of data related to parameters demographics such as births, deaths, and migration as well as other important information in order to produce indicators for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the RPJMN for the population sector.
