Carrying the theme, Food Crop Statistics as a Quality Data Provider towards Strong and Sustainable Food Self-Sufficiency, BPS Tegal Regency held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) meeting on Food Crop Statistics on Friday, September 16, 2022, at the Ballroom of the Gran Dian Hotel, Slawi, Tegal Regency.
The FGD event was opened by the Head of BPS Tegal Regency, Ir. Jamaludin MM and this was attended by Bappeda and Research and Development of Tegal Regency, Tegal Regency Communications and Information Office, Tegal Regency Agriculture and Food Security Office, and all Tegal Regency BPS Employees as well as several statistical partners who used to collect data on Food Crops Statistics.
In his remarks, the Head of BPS said that food security is a crucial issue in Indonesia. Likewise for Tegal Regency, the availability of sufficient food to meet the needs of the population is very important to avoid prolonged economic and social turmoil.
This FGD invited a resource person from BPS itself from Production Statistics, namely Young Statistics, Amin Sukardi. In his presentation, Amin Sukardi said that the Integrated Food Crops Agricultural Statistics Data Collection using the Area Sample Framework (KSA) method aims to obtain more ACCURATE AND TIMELY data on HARVEST AREA.
