On August 22 - 23, 2023, BPS Central Java Province held a Workshop on Results of Statistical Activities of Industry and Mining, Energy and Construction of Central Java Provincial in 2023. The event was held at the Harris Sentraland Hotel in Semarang and was followed by 35 BPS districts/cities in Central Java with 2 participants from each district. Of the BPS district of Tegal who represents is the Head of Industry Team namely Ir. Tri Wahyuni and the Chairman of the PEK Team and Deputy Prime Minister Widi Nugroho, SST.
The event was very serviceful and opened by the Chief of Industry Team and PEK of Central Java Province, Tri Karjono, S.Pi and continued by instructions Statistisi Madya, Ir. Sri Diastuti, MM, commented on the role of the Industry Sector and the PEK in terms of regional GDP figures for 2022.
Industry Survey Activities and PEK sectors account for 47.53% of Jateng 2022, almost half of the PDRB figure is determined by the sector. So consider the need to focus more and take strategic steps to improve the data quality and response rate of this data collection, considering the sample is an establishment or company. Admittedly, it's pretty difficult to collect data because industry and construction companies don't all respond well to their data collection.
Some of the strategies discussed in this workshop include:
1. Active Communication, Evaluation and Monitoring,
2. Active and effective surveillance and inspection,
3. There is implementation of collaboration with related agencies among others:
a. Food and Agriculture Service
b. Farm and Animal Health Service
c. Forestry and Habitat and Forestry Housing Service
d. Department of Maritime and Fisheries
e. Food Safety Service
