On September 11, 2023, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Tegal Regency conducted a Monday Morning Apple activity with the theme "Complete Data Collection of Cooperatives and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in 2023". The event was led by Ir. Jamaludin, Head of BPS Tegal Regency.
In this event, it was explained that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important role as the engine of the national economy. BPS' contribution to the national priority program is through the complete data collection of cooperatives and MSMEs.
The complete data collection of cooperatives and MSMEs in 2023 aims to build a single data governance that will help improve the competitiveness of MSMEs. This activity will be carried out from September 15 to October 14, 2023.
BPS Tegal Regency hopes that collaboration between BPS, cooperatives, and the local MSME department can be well established in updating the collected data. A well-organized documentation system and monitoring of each stage of data collection is also very important.
In this activity, the dynamic character and existence of cooperatives and MSMEs will be explained, as well as the challenges faced such as regulations, market conditions, financial support, business development, entrepreneurial skills, and entrepreneurial culture. The government needs data and information to assist and plan for the needs of MSMEs.
This complete data collection of cooperatives and MSMEs is a comprehensive data collection activity for all MSMEs in Indonesia, and the scale of MSMEs is determined based on annual sales criteria.
This activity is considered important for BPS's future activities, and contributions from all parties are expected to make it a success. The data collected will be used for evidence-based policy making and to strengthen the national statistical system and institutional capacity of BPS. (Wind)
