Human Development Index Becomes a Reference for the Performance of the Education and Culture Office

Slawi, February 29, 2024 - The Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) of Tegal Regency has made the Human Development Index (HDI) one of the performance indicators in the preparation of the 2025 Work Plan. This was revealed in the Regional Apparatus Forum Meeting for the Preparation of the 2025 Work Plan held in Slawi on February 29, 2024.

HDI is a comparative measurement of life expectancy, education, and standard of living. In the context of Disdikbud, HDI is used to measure the level of human development in Tegal District in terms of access to education services and quality of education services.

The use of HDI as a performance indicator aims to ensure that the programs and activities carried out by the Disdikbud really have an impact on improving the quality of life of the people of Tegal Regency. Using HDI as a performance indicator, Disdikbud focuses on two main components, namely:

Average length of schooling: This indicator measures the average length of time a person spends in formal education.
Expected length of schooling: This indicator measures the average length of time a person expects to pursue formal education in the future.

By focusing on these two components, Disdikbud hopes to increase community access to quality education services. (and)
