The Central Bureau of Statistics of Tegal Regency again collaborated with SMA Negeri 2 in conducting special statistical coaching entitled Statistical Literacy Goes to School. This activity began with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a sign of the Declaration of the Literacy Corner of Statistics Goes to School on Thursday, May 16, 2024, and was attended by teachers, students and librarians of SMA Negeri 2 Slawi.
Head of BPS Tegal Regency, Bambang Wahyu Ponco Aji, S.ST, M.Si in his direction expressed his gratitude to the Principal of SMA N 2 Slawi Siti Ati S.Pd, M.Pd for giving BPS the opportunity to conduct more focused statistical guidance to students so that they can have further knowledge about statistics and can contribute in building superior resources in the future, BPS is ready to help if students and teachers have difficulties about statistical literacy, Bambang added.
This activity was highly appreciated by Siti Ati as the Principal, BPS cares about us at SMA Negeri 2 Slawi because understanding of statistics is needed in improving school numeracy literacy. We hope that there is an innovation in statistical learning that is easily understood by students so that students' interest and abilities can increase.
Also present in the activity were Diana Dwi Susanti, S.Si as an Associate Expert Statistician and Ika Efrilia, SE, MM always the Head of the Go to School Statistics Work Team with her team members. Ika Efrilia explained that the literacy coaching activity at SMA Negeri 2 is the third locus this year that will be fostered and will last until May 2025 in a scheduled and programmed manner so that its benefits can be measured.
