BPS Tegal Regency Participates in Slawi Expo 2024 Exhibition

The Slawi Ageng Expo 2024 became the highlight of the 423rd anniversary celebrations of Tegal Regency. The event was officially opened by the Acting (Pj) Regent of Tegal, Agustyaryah, on Wednesday evening (22/05/2024) at Lapangan Pemda. The opening was also marked by the launch of the Sound Of Moci, symbolizing Slawi as the City of Fragrant Tea in the World. With the commencement of this event, various activities within the Slawi Ageng Mahakarya Nusantara 2024 series officially began.

The Slawi Ageng Expo 2024 featured booths from government agencies, institutions, and local MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises). These booths showcased various local products, ranging from handicrafts, culinary items, to technology products. The enthusiasm of visitors was evident from the crowded exhibition area since its opening. This expo not only served as a platform to promote local products and government departments within Tegal Regency but also as a venue to connect entrepreneurs with consumers and stakeholders who can support the development of MSMEs in Tegal Regency.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) participated in the Development Exhibition, which was part of the Slawi Ageng Expo 2024. The BPS booth attracted many visitors, including the Acting Regent, local officials, agency representatives, students, and the general public. The Dart game, a skill-based activity at the BPS booth, became a favorite. Participants had to answer statistical questions before aiming their darts at the target board. Successful participants were awarded attractive souvenirs from BPS.

BPS's participation in this exhibition was not just for entertainment but also for education. They introduced the role and functions of BPS to the wider community and emphasized the importance of accurate statistical data in regional development. This initiative aimed to raise public awareness about the significance of reliable statistics for planning and evaluating development projects.

With various interesting and educational activities, the Slawi Ageng Expo 2024 successfully enlivened the 423rd anniversary of Tegal Regency.
