Sectoral Statistics Development by BPS: Enhancing Data Quality and Information Management

June 25, 2024 | Other Activities

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Tegal Regency, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) of Tegal Regency, organized a sectoral statistics development event in two subdistricts: Dukuhturi and Adiwerna. The purpose of this event was to improve understanding and skills related to statistical data management at the subdistrict level.

The event was attended by the Subdistrict Head (Camat), Deputy Subdistrict Head (Sekcam), relevant section heads (kasi-kasi), and data operators from the subdistricts. Adiwerna hosted the first session, which took place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Subsequently, Dukuhturi held the second session from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

From the Kominfo side, Sri Rejeki, the Head of Statistical and Cryptographic Affairs, emphasized the importance of accurate and relevant data. She also discussed data standards that must be followed and the established regulations for data management in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Maskuri, a young expert statistician from BPS, explained the process of creating subdistrict profiles. He also outlined the procedures for submitting statistical recommendations through the online system known as “Romantik.”

The event was conducted with solemnity and enthusiasm, demonstrating the commitment of participants to enhancing data quality and information in the subdistricts. Hopefully, the outcomes of this development program will positively impact decision-making and future development planning. (Praw)
