Tegal, September 29, 2025 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) RI held the peak event of National Statistics Day at the Harmoni Hall, Pusdiklat BPS RI, with the theme "Collaborating to Foster Quality and Impactful Learning". This activity took place in a hybrid manner, namely offline at Pusdiklat BPS RI and online via the Zoom platform, from 08.00 to 12.00 WIB. It was attended by Young Statisticians of BPS Tegal Regency, Puji Astuti and Young Prakom Sodikin.
The event was opened with a Keynote Speech from Dr. Suntono, SE., M.Si., Head of Pusdiklat BPS RI, who emphasized the importance of synergy and collaboration in creating superior human resources (HR) in the field of statistics. According to him, in the midst of rapid technological developments, including artificial intelligence (AI) and big data, Pusdiklat BPS must always be up to date in preparing competent human resources so that data services to the community are of higher quality.
BPS not only produces data, but also plays a role as a driving force for national development. Collaboration in learning is key to maintaining quality while presenting a real impact on society, said Dr. Suntono.
The event also featured a keynote speaker, Taufik Edy Susanto, M.Sc. Tech., Ph.D. Founder of TauData Corp, who shared in-depth insights regarding the importance of collaboration, data science, and the use of technology in supporting learning and digital transformation at BPS.
Sharing Collaboration Experiences in Learning
In his presentation, Taufik emphasized that cross-institutional collaboration experiences, both with universities, industry, and government agencies, are the main capital in improving the quality of learning. Collaboration enables the exchange of knowledge, adaptation of new methods, and strengthening of a more open and impactful data ecosystem.
Collaboration Principles for Quality
The basic principles that must be adhered to, according to Taufik, are openness, mutual trust, and focus on common goals. With these principles, collaboration in the world of education and training can produce better learning quality, not only in an academic context, but also in practice in the field.
The Role of Data Science in Learning
Data science is the main driving force in today's digital era. The use of modern analytical methods, integration of big data, and application of AI in the teaching and learning process will help students understand socio-economic realities more comprehensively. This is also in line with BPS's mission to provide quality statistics that are easily accessible to the public.
Opportunities and Challenges
As technology advances, opportunities for BPS are increasingly open to innovate. However, on the other hand, challenges such as limited digital literacy, technical skills, and the need for clear data regulations must also be anticipated immediately. BPS through Pusdiklat is expected to be at the forefront in answering these challenges.
Success Indicators and Impact Evaluation
Dr. Suntono emphasized that the success of learning collaboration can be measured through increased competence of training participants, relevance of material to current needs, and stakeholder satisfaction with the quality of BPS data. Impact evaluation is an important benchmark to ensure that each program not only runs, but also makes a real contribution to national development.
Roadmap for Collaboration in Learning
In closing, this event produced a joint commitment to develop a roadmap for learning collaboration at Pusdiklat BPS. This roadmap will integrate various human resource development initiatives, the use of cutting-edge technology, and strategic partnerships to realize data services that are increasingly high-quality and have a real impact on society.
Synergy for the Future
The commemoration of National Statistics Day 2025 at Pusdiklat BPS RI is not only a ceremonial event, but also a moment of reflection and commitment. With strong collaboration, BPS RI is ready to continue to transform, produce superior human resources, and present data that can become the foundation for a more advanced Indonesian development.
