Slawi, Saturday, June 27, 2026 – The Head of BPS Tegal Regency, *Bambang Wahyu Ponco Aji, conducted a supervision activity for the implementation of the *2026 Economic Census (SE2026) in Margasari District. This activity is part of BPS Tegal Regency’s efforts to ensure that the data collection process in the field runs in accordance with the guidelines, while also maintaining the quality of the data produced.
During the supervision, Bambang Wahyu Ponco Aji engaged in direct dialogue with the Field Inspection Officers (PML) and Field Enumerators (PPL). He asked about various challenges encountered during the census, particularly regarding data collection targets that had not yet been achieved as planned. The discussion was conducted openly so that each issue could be identified and solutions could be found promptly.
Some of the challenges reported by the officers included business operators who were difficult to meet due to irregular operating hours, businesses that had relocated, and some respondents who were not yet willing to provide information during the first visit. These conditions have been among the factors causing the enumeration targets in the Margasari area to not be optimally achieved.
In response, the Head of BPS Tegal Regency provided directions to all PML and PPL to remain motivated, improve coordination, and develop more effective visit strategies. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining data quality through interviews conducted in accordance with the concepts and definitions of the 2026 Economic Census, so that the resulting data remain accurate, complete, and accountable.
Through this supervision activity, it is expected that the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census in Margasari District will run more optimally and that data collection targets can be achieved soon. BPS Tegal Regency is committed to continuously providing guidance, monitoring, and evaluation for all field officers to ensure that SE2026 produces high-quality economic statistical data as a basis for planning and development in Tegal Regency.(burhan)
