Ujungrusi Village, Adiwerna Subdistrict, Tegal Regency, is one of the villages that participated in the Desa Cantik program initiated by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). This program aims to improve the quality of village data and information, and empower village communities through data utilization.
On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, the BPS Tegal Regency team visited Ujungrusi Village to conduct Desa Cantik coaching. The BPS team consisting of Diana Dwi Susanti, Ratna Sari Dewi, Zulkarnain Adhi Perdana, Ema Tamaema, and Adnan Puji Wahyudi were welcomed by Ujungrusi Village Head Kadarisman and Village Secretary Amal Purnomo Salim.
In the Desa Cantik Development, the BPS team provided guidance and facilitation to village officials in terms of identifying socio-economic problems and village potential, as well as developing village information systems. The BPS team also provided socialization on the importance of data for the Social Protection and Community Empowerment Program.
Ujungrusi Village Head Kadarisman appreciated the Desa Cantik program run by BPS. He said that this program is very beneficial for his village, because it can help improve community welfare based on data.
The village is very happy and grateful to BPS for choosing Ujungrusi Village as one of the Beautiful Villages. They hope that with this program, we can more easily manage village data and information, and be more precise in planning and implementing village development programs.
Meanwhile, Diana Dwi Susanti, an Associate Expert Statistician at BPS Tegal Regency, said that Ujungrusi Village is one of the villages that is quite active and enthusiastic in participating in the Desa Cantik program. She hopes that this program can continue and develop in other villages.
"Desa Cantik is a form of BPS commitment to support sustainable village development. We hope that with this program, villages can love data and information more as a basis for accurate and effective decision making," Diana said.
Desa Cantik coaching has been carried out since 2021 with a coverage of 100 main villages and 177 additional villages. The number increased in 2022 to 508 main village samples and 539 additional village samples spread across 514 districts/cities.
This program aims to increase the capacity of village officials in terms of managing village data and information, as well as providing technical and non-technical support to villages in the context of data utilization for village development. (Wind)
