The Tegal Regency BPS team provided explanations and demonstrations of the processes and methods used to produce Sectoral Statistics, as well as examples of Sectoral Statistics products that have been made by the Tegal Regency BPS. The Brebes District BPS team was able to see firsthand how BPS Tegal uses various data sources, both primary and secondary, to process and analyze sectoral data. The Brebes District BPS team was also able to appreciate how BPS Tegal presented and disseminated Sectoral Statistics using various media and formats, such as books, leaflets, posters, infographics, videos, websites, and applications.
On December 20, 2023, BPS Tegal Regency received a copy study visit from BPS Semarang City. BPS Semarang City wanted to learn from BPS Tegal Regency about Population Statistics and Statistical Dissemination. Population Statistics are statistics that describe the number, composition, distribution, and characteristics of the population in a region, such as gender, age, education, employment, marital status, and so on. Population statistics can be used as a reference for policies and programs related to population and community welfare. Statistical Dissemination is an activity conducted by BPS to disseminate and promote statistical products and services produced by BPS, as well as to increase public awareness and participation in statistical activities.
BPS Tegal Regency team shared knowledge and achievements that have been made by BPS Tegal Regency in terms of Population Statistics and Statistical Dissemination. The team showed how BPS Tegal Regency has used information and communication technology (ICT) to facilitate and accelerate the process of collecting, processing, and presenting population data. The team also showed how BPS Tegal Regency has developed various population statistics products and services that are attractive and easy to understand by the community, such as thematic maps, dashboards, village profiles, and statistical consultations. In addition, the Tegal Regency BPS team also shared experiences and innovations that have been made by the Tegal Regency BPS in terms of Statistical Dissemination, such as creating podcasts, videos, websites, and statistical applications.
The Copycat Study Visit from BPS Brebes Regency and BPS Semarang City to BPS Tegal Regency is a very positive and productive activity for BPS. With the Mock Study visit, BPS can learn from each other, share, and exchange information and experiences regarding various aspects of statistics. Mock Study visits can also strengthen the relationship and cooperation between BPS, as well as improve the quality and work capacity of BPS employees. BPS Tegal Regency hopes to receive more Mock Study visits from other BPS in the future, as well as to conduct Mock Study visits to other BPS. (Wind)
