Tegal, February 27, 2025 – The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Tegal Regency participated in a briefing organized by BPS RI through the Zoom and YouTube platforms. The event was attended by three Liaison Officers (LO) from BPS Tegal Regency, namely Sodikin, Puji Astuti, and Adiprima W.N. The event was opened by the Acting Deputy of MIS, Edy Mahmud, and aimed to discuss the use of the Matcha Pro application in profiling the Statistical Business Register (SBR) with a target of updating 23,000 business entities. SBR profiling is a mechanism for updating company data recorded in the SBR database on a desk-based basis. This process involves updating various variables, such as company existence, name, address, phone number, email, category, and the Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (KBLI). Data sources used in this update include online searches and data from previous BPS surveys. Profiling officers consist of organic BPS employees at the central, provincial, and district/city levels, with the allocation of regional profilers adjusted to the number of large businesses that have never been updated. The Matcha Pro application is designed to facilitate the SBR profiling process by providing features that support efficient company data updates. The use of this application is expected to improve accuracy and speed in data updates, resulting in a more reliable sample frame for various economic surveys and business demographic compilations. In addition, the data that has been updated through SBR profiling will be an important basis in preparing for the upcoming 2026 Economic Census. The active participation of BPS Tegal Regency in this briefing demonstrates their commitment to improving the quality of economic statistical data in their region. With a target of updating 23,000 business entities, it is expected that the data produced can provide an accurate picture of the regional economic conditions, as well as support the implementation of targeted policies.
