Decentralization of Data Visualization and Publication Software Procurement in 2025

Tegal, March 24, 2025 – Several employees from the Tegal Regency Statistics Office (BPS), namely Imam Furqon Roziqin, Uziroh, Adiprima WN, Puji Astuti, and Sodikin, attended a briefing on the Decentralization of BPS Data Visualization and Publication Software Procurement in 2025 online. This briefing was delivered by BPS RI and discussed the implementation of Creative Cloud as a solution in the process of data visualization and publication. This decentralization brings several consequences that must be considered by each work unit (satker) in the region. Some of the main points of this policy include: 1. Responsibility for Budget Use Each satker is fully responsible for the use of the budget in the procurement of BPS data visualization and publication software, including the utilization and optimization of the software in supporting statistical work. 2. Limitations on Template Sharing Between Software With this decentralization, templates from various software cannot be sent or shared between satkers, so each work unit must adjust and develop its own design based on its respective needs. 3. Independent Software Upgrades Each satker must upgrade the use of software in publication creation, whether in the form of books, booklets, or other data visualization products. This refers to the minimum software specifications set by BPS RI to ensure quality and uniform standards in statistical publications. This policy is expected to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the process of statistical data publication in each region. With independent software management, each regional BPS can be more flexible in adapting their publication needs without relying on a centralized system. The participants who attended this briefing will further socialize this policy to their internal teams to ensure that the decentralization policy can be implemented well in their respective work environments. With this policy, Tegal Regency BPS and other work units are expected to be more independent in managing data visualization software needs, while still producing quality publications according to the standards set by BPS RI.
