Regency Tegal, January 22, 2026 – The Tegal Regency Communication and Information Office (Kominfo) held preparations for the Evaluation of Sectoral Statistics Implementation (EPSS) as a strategic step to assess the extent of sectoral statistics implementation within the local government.

The event featured the Tegal Regency Statistics Agency (BPS) as the resource person, with the presence of the Sectoral Statistics Implementation Team and representatives from the focus OPDs, namely the Transportation Department and the Environment Department.

In his remarks, the Head of the Tegal Regency Department of Communication and Information Technology emphasized that the EPSS plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of sectoral data produced by government agencies. "This evaluation is important to determine the progress of sectoral statistics implementation, and also serves as a basis for future improvements," he said.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Diana Dwisusansi, a Senior Statistician from the Tegal Regency BPS, emphasized the urgency of data management within OPDs. According to her, well-managed data will be an important foundation for formulating regional policies. "Structured and consistent data management will support the creation of evidence-based policies, so that regional development is more targeted," she explained.

This EPSS preparation activity is expected to strengthen the synergy between the Department of Communication and Information, the Central Bureau of Statistics, and relevant regional government agencies, so that Tegal Regency can improve the quality of sectoral statistics while strengthening regional data governance.
