Slawi- On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Tegal Regency held an initial briefing for Desa Cantik (Love Statistics) coaching activities. This activity aims to strengthen the understanding and application of statistics at the village level. Despite the calm weather, statistical agents and village heads from three selected villages, namely Pagerwangi, Ujungrusi, and Sidapurna, gathered to share knowledge.
The resource person for the briefing was Adnan Puji Wahyudi as a Junior Functional Statistician of BPS Tegal Regency. Adnan provided an introduction, objectives, and outputs regarding the use of statistical data in decision-making at the village level. Participants gained valuable information about data collection methods, simple analysis, and interpretation of statistical results. Participants were quite enthusiastic in absorbing knowledge that will help them in managing village data better.
The event was also attended by Diskominfo (Communication and Information Agency), Bappedalitbang (Regional Development Planning Agency for Research and Development), and Bhamada University of Tegal Regency. These three institutions are committed to providing assistance, facilities and resources so that the implementation of the Desa Cantik program can run successfully. With synergistic cooperation, it is hoped that these villages can be active and independent in statistical activities.
Desa Cantik is not only about numbers and data, but also about realizing smart and competitive villages. With the spirit of love for statistics, we together carve out success for the welfare of the people in Tegal Regency.
